We Are Many | Rotten Tomatoes (1) Martin Tsai Los Angeles Times Since the rally ultimately proved ineffectual, the film could at the least serve as a sobering postmortem on where it fell short. Dec 11, 2015 Full Review We Are Many | Rotten Tomatoes (2) Mark Kermode Observer (UK) Key figures from the original marches share teary (and tear-inducing) memories of the moment when the people said no, while a trail of guilty lies is followed from the dodgy dossier to the Chilcot inquiry with still enraging results. Rated: 3/5 May 24, 2015 Full Review We Are Many | Rotten Tomatoes (3) Geoffrey Macnab Independent (UK) Amir Amirani's documentary will jog memories about the sheer scale of the anti-war protests in Britain in February 2003. Rated: 3/5 May 22, 2015 Full Review We Are Many | Rotten Tomatoes (4) Richard Crouse Richard Crouse We Are Many takes us back to the days, post 9/11, when the likes of Blair and Bush dominated the news with hysterical claims of the world ending threats of WMDs, but ends on a more upbeat, 'we won't get fooled again' note. Rated: 3/5 Jan 29, 2021 Full Review We Are Many | Rotten Tomatoes (5) Carla Hay Culture Mix The documentary We Are Many expresses many timeless beliefs about peace being a better alternative to war, but the movie still can't quite help look outdated in many ways. Nov 5, 2020 Full Review We Are Many | Rotten Tomatoes (6) Chris Knight National Post Even a decade and a half later, the outrage it stirs is palpable. Audience Member Terrific documentary that reminds people of how relentlessly they were lied to by their leaders. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member This isn't a Hollywood movie with amazing special effects, a massive production team and an even bigger budget - this is much, much better...This is a labour of love and a work of bravery and passion. I had the honour of meeting the director Amir Amirani who's gradually researched & developed this film since the protest of 2003, produced with Omid Djalili, to tell a story that otherwise may never have been told. Even for the most avid supporters of the Iraq War, and perhaps especially, this is a must see film. This was the biggest event of its type in history, organised in just a few days, before the days of Twitter or Facebook, where millions of people from around the world marched together across all 7 continents, in cities all over the world, not for money or power, but for peace and unity. A marker in our development as a global civilisation.Rousing, educational, emotional and empowering - watch this film and recommend it to everyone you know...#WeAreMany x Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Read all reviews
