There are many things that Jamaicans are passionate about, but very few are as prominent as the way we feel about KFC Jamaica. The franchise fast-food restaurant, known for its fried chicken meals has been the go-to place for Jamaicans since its arrival.

The love affair with the finger-lickin' chicken company is so intense that other restaurants often find it difficult to be very successful or even find their footing in the food services industry. Many Jamaicans will tell you that Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) in Jamaica is better than every other restaurant in the world and they will not be convinced otherwise.

When Was KFC Jamaica Opened?

The company itself started in 1952, KFC Jamaica was not opened until 1975, the first location being 170 Old Hope Road, Kingston 6.

Who Owns KFC Jamaica?

KFC Jamaica is operated by Restaurants of Jamaica, a company owned by the Myers family. The company also has the right to operate the Pizza Hut franchisee on the island as well. In most cases, you will find a Pizza Hut and a KFC Jamaica at the same location barring a few.

Does KFC Jamaica Use Jamaican Ingredients?

As you know, KFC has 11 secret herbs and spices that must be used at every location no matter where they are. So those ingredients are not locally sourced. However, everything else is sourced in Jamaica.

How Many KFC Jamaica Locations Are There?

Jamaica has 41 KFC locations in 12 parishes as well as 14 Pizza Hut Locations in 7 parishes. St. Thomas and Hanover remain the only two parishes that do not have a single KFC restaurant.

Their recent additions have been an additional location in Drax Hall, St. Ann, Falmouth, Trelawny, Port Antonio, Portland and Junction, St. Elizabeth.

Surprisingly, Negril does not have its own KFC, making it the only major tourist area that does not have one, there are usually no less than 3 in these areas. So, if you happen to be in Negril, you will have to drive to the closest KFC location in Savanna-la-mar which is just a taxi ride away.

There are still plans to add even more store locations to better serve the island.

KFC Jamaica's Menu

The KFC Jamaica is not quite as extensive as America’s. There are the standard bucket, wings, boxes, zingers, salads and dessert options.

Buckets

• Big Bucket - includes 6 pieces of chicken, 8 Hot Wings, 6 Krispers, 1 Pepsi 2L.


• The Family 9 - includes 9 pieces of chicken, 2 large fries, 4 biscuits, 3 corn cobbettes, 1 Pepsi 2L.


• The Family 12 - includes 12 pieces of chicken, 1 family fries, 4 biscuits, 3 mashed potatoes, 3 coleslaws, 4 cookies, 1 Pepsi 2L.


• Party 15 - includes 15 pieces of chicken, 1 Pepsi 2L.


• Party 21 - includes 21 pieces of chicken, 1 Pepsi 2L.

Wings

• Wings 5 Combo - includes 5 Wings, 1 regular fries, 1 457mL Pepsi.


• Wings 5 - 5 wings only.


• Wings 8 Combo - 8 wings, 1 regular fries, 1 457mL Pepsi.


• Wings 10 Combo - 10 wings, 1 regular fries, 1 457mL Pepsi.


• Wings 10 - includes 10 wings only.


• Wings 15 - includes 15 wings only.


• Party 25 - includes 25 wings, 1 Pepsi 2L.

Regular Boxes

• Meal Deal - includes 2 pieces of chicken, 1 regular fries, 1 457 mL Pepsi.

• Big Deal - includes 3 pieces of chicken, 1 regular fries, 1 457 mL Pepsi.

• Big 6 - includes 6 pieces of chicken, 2 regular fries, 2 457 mL Pepsi.

Big Boxes

• Hot Wings Big Box - includes 3 Wings, 2 pieces of chicken, 1 Mini Coleslaw, 1 Biscuit, 1 Regular Fries, 1 Pepsi 457mL.
• Zinger Big Box - includes 1 Zinger, 1 piece of chicken, 1 coleslaw, 1 regular fries, 1 457 mL Pepsi.
• Krispers Big Box - 2 Krispers, 2 pieces of chicken, coleslaw, 1 biscuit, 1 regular fries, 1 457 mL Pepsi.

Popcorn Chicken

• Large Popcorn Chicken

• Large Popcorn Chicken Combo - 1 large popcorn chicken, 1 regular fries, 1 457mL Pepsi.

Krispers

• Krispers - 3 PCS - includes Krispers only, 2 dipping sauces.

• Krispers- 5 PCS. ONLY - includes 5 Krispers only, 2 dipping sauces.

• Krispers- 3PCS COMBO - includes 3 Krispers, 2 dipping sauces, 1 regular fries, 1 457mL Pepsi.

• Krispers- 5 PCS COMBO - includes 5 Krispers, 2 dipping sauces,1 regular fries, 1 457mL Pepsi.

• Krispers- 10PCS ONLY - includes 10 Krispers only, 4 dipping Sauces.

Chicken pieces come in three flavours, spicy, barbecue or original. Wings and sandwiches are either spicy or barbecue. All other meals are original only.

Sandwiches

• Zinger - includes 1 Zinger Sandwich (Original or BBQ), 1 regular fries, 1 457mL Pepsi.
• Colonel’s Catch - includes 1 fish sandwich, 1 regular fries, 1 457mL Pepsi.

Chicken pieces come in three flavours, spicy, barbecue or original. Wings and sandwiches are either spicy or barbecue. All other meals are original only.

• Coleslaw
• Biscuit

Salads

Salads either come as a wrap or a bowl with a drink. You have the option of adding strips of chicken to your salad if you wish.

Value Menu

• Famous Bowl - 1 famous bowl, 1 457ml Pepsi.
• Chicken Box Combo - 1 piece of chicken, 1 regular fries, 1 biscuit, 1 457ml Pepsi.
• Popcorn Chicken Combo - 1 small popcorn chicken, 1 regular fries, 1 457ml Pepsi.

Drinks

They provide several types of sodas, water and Tropicana branded drinks. What we love about KFC Jamaica is the unlimited drinks that come with each meal. At the fountain, you can go back as many times as you wish as long as you remain in the restaurant.

Dessert

You can add chocolate chip cookies or a slice of apple pie to complete your meal.

Catering By KFC Jamaica

KFC Jamaica also provides catering services in case you would like their services for your event. There is a minimum order of 50 pieces of wings, chicken or Krispers.
